Overview of the Course
This course on Culturally Responsive Therapy in the Face of Anti-Immigrant Policies aims to provide therapists and mental health professionals with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively support immigrant communities during times of heightened discrimination and adversity. Participants will learn about the unique challenges faced by immigrants in the current political climate, as well as strategies for providing culturally sensitive and empowering therapy.
Throughout this course, participants will explore the impact of anti-immigrant policies on mental health outcomes and learn how to incorporate culturally responsive practices into their therapeutic approach. Topics such as understanding the intersection of immigration and mental health, building trust with immigrant clients, and advocating for social justice will be covered in depth. Target Audience:
This training is designed for students, therapists in training, direct service providers, and social service providers working with immigrants.
Certificate of Completion:
